Vend Baby, Vend

Filed under: Food and Diet — admin @ 7:59 pm

I own a small barber shop in San Francisco and was thinking a vending machine would be a nice tough to have for my customers while they wait. I couldn’t afford anything crazy, so I was looking at all my options. I learned about San Francisco Bay Area Vending machine suppliers, a local Bay Area vending company, and they looked like the perfect choice for me so I gave them a call. They have the latest vending machines at extremely affordable prices. Not to mention their customer service was great.

They came out and installed the machine and stocked it up with drinks, I didn’t have to do a thing. They had it installed in no time and it was up and running and ready to go. I got to pick and choose what would be offered in the machines, and they have healthier options available as well. They come by each month to restock the machine and just bill you accordingly based on what was used in the machine.

My customers absolutely love it. They are so happy to have the option to get a drink while they wait or to sip on while I’m cutting their hair. The feedback I’ve gotten has been nothing but positive and I’ve told them all about how great Corporate Cuisine has been as a company and am spreading the word! I will continue using them forever!

Sacramento Friends + Wine

Filed under: Food and Diet — Tags: , — admin @ 6:22 pm

Being in our 20s living in Sacramento, my friends and I are always looking for ways to explore our area and have a good time together. Recently, I had a friend mention that she visited Rendez-vous Winery in Clarksburg, which isn’t very far away from Sacramento. She said she went with a few friends from her grad program for wine tasting and had a great time!

This got my attention because I hadn’t even realized there were wineries in Sacramento other than a few small ones that we had already been to and weren’t especially impressed with. So I was excited to hear about a new possibility of things we could do on the weekend.

So a few weeks ago, we decided to have brunch and mimosas together and then head over to the Old Sugar Mill, which is where Rendez-vous is located. There are also several other wineries located within the building, but we were going to try to make sure we got to Rendez-vous.

We met in the morning at Firestone for brunch and bottomless mimosas. Before we went wine tasting, we were already having a great time! But once we got to the winery, we had even more fun together. The wine was delicious and many of us came home with bottles to enjoy later. It was a great day with my Sacramento friends at Rendez-vous Winery.

Getting My Smile Back

Invisalign girl smilingI had braces in my teens, but by the time I was in my thirties, my teeth were not as straight as they were before. I tried to tell myself for years that they added “character,” but in reality my teeth were making me really self-conscious. I saw myself not smiling in photos anymore and I knew I had to do something about it.

One day when I was driving home from work (I live in Fair Oaks), I saw a sign outside a dental office that said “Invisalign.” It never even occurred to me that a dentist could offer Invisalign but I went in to ask them about it on a whim. They were happy to tell me that they did if fact offer Invisalign and that My Tooth Spa (the dental office in Fair Oaks), was one of the only dental offices in the area to offer it.

They were immediately able to book a consultation within the next two weeks and I walked out of the office stunned at what had just happened. I am not very spontaneous, so the fact that I actually went into the office and made an appointment is really big for me. I walked out with a new sense of pride for taking a step for myself that I had been afraid to do for a long time.

When I went to the initial appointment, I was really excited and nervous at the same time. Would they be able to fix my teeth? Would I be able to afford it? Would I like my dentist? Luckily, I had positive answers to all of my questions. Yes, they would be able to fix my teeth in 16 months. Yes, I was going to be able to afford it (Invisalign technology has come a long way). And yes, I really liked my dentist!

The office was extremely professional and courteous. They went out of their way to make sure I felt good about choosing My Tooth Spa to have my Invisalign treatment done. During my appointment, I learned about what to expect when receiving treatment. I also learned all about what issues and problems can arise if I don’t use the trays correctly or don’t take care of my teeth. After the consultation, I feel really prepared and ready to go through with the treatment. I am ready to have my teeth restored to their former glory!

Finally, I decided to go ahead with the treatment and booked by first appointment to get my trays fitted and to be briefed with the information I would need for the next few months . I am so excited to feel like I can smile fully again and can’t wait to have my smile back!

How to Eat more Superfoods for Dinner

Filed under: Food and Diet — Tags: , — admin @ 6:03 pm

Superfoods are foods that are good for the body because they are low in calories, fat and are all natural! They are also packed full of vitamins and nutrients that are essential for healthy bodies. The more of these you eat the healthier you will be. There are a wide variety of superfoods that you can consume. If you want to start out by making your dinner healthier, there are a lot of meal options.

1) Seafood

Try grilling some salmon with olive oil and herbs. Not only is salmon low in carbohydrates, it’s full of Omega 3 fatty acids. These are really good for the body and should be consumed each day. These help support a healthy heart and healthy eye/brain functions!

2) Vegetables

It’s really important to get a lot of vegetables in your diet during dinner. These are going to fill you with fiber and make you full more quickly as well. Instead of having rice or pasta on the side, have a vegetable! Spinach and broccoli are among the best superfoods because they are packed full of nutrients. The vitamins in these help support a healthy body and are extremely low in calories. Try steaming these to cut calories and preserve nutrients.

3) Dessert

Most people have a sweet tooth that comes right after eating dinner. Instead of reaching for that gallon of ice cream, grab some berries! A half cup of blueberries is extremely good for the body. These have a lot of antioxidants in them that clear out toxins from the body. They are also full of Vitamin C and potassium!

By swapping out a healthy superfood dinner for an unhealthy one, you will feel the difference. Your body will feel better, you will have more energy and you will lose weight. It’s a good idea to start with dinner and move on to getting more superfoods in with other meals of the day!
